About The Project

OBJECTIVE of Swachh Bharat Mission(SBM):
To improve the quality of life, especially for urban poor and dis-advantaged by way of proper arrangement of Sanitation and Solid Waste Management components and providing services on Construction of Individual House Hold latrine (IHHL), Community Toilet (CT) & Public Toilet (PT), and Integrated Solid Waste Management.
MISSION:
1. Elimination of open defecation
2. Eradication of Manual Scavenging
3. Modern and Scientific Municipal Solid Waste Management
4. To effect behavioral change regarding healthy sanitation practices
5. Generate awareness about sanitation and its linkage with public health
6. Capacity Augmentation for ULBs
ACTIVITIES:
Out of the total of 1967 nos of IHHL construction of 1967 nos, IHHL has been completed. We have achieved the status of Open Defecation Free (ODF). 37 nos of Community Toilet and 10 nos of Public Toilets have been constructed successfully. Integrated Solid Waste Management Projects have been already initiated in our Municipal area.
